For most people the thought of festivals in Ghana are often dominated by Afrochella, however, 6 hours away from the bustling city of Accra lays a somewhat hidden gem, mainly known by European tourist to Ghana and the local community of Busua. Asabako is one of few festivals in Ghana, that will have your feet sinking into the sand and your body grooving to the sound of house and indie music in a jungle off the beaten road leading to Busua.
The festival usually held in March marks Ghana’s independence celebration and features a wide range of activities, including music performances, cultural displays, beach parties, sports competitions, and the much-anticipated "Jungle Party".
