JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a creative, tech-savvy Social Media Marketing Intern to help amplify our brand across digital platforms. You will assist in crafting engaging content, managing social channels, and supporting campaigns that inspire travelers to explore Africa. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented storyteller with a passion for travel, design, and viral trends.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation & Scheduling
  2. Assist in developing and scheduling posts for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter (X).
  3. Design eye-catching graphics (Canva), edit short-form videos (Reels/TikTok), and brainstorm UGC-style ideas.
  4. Help maintain a content calendar for consistency across platforms.
  5. Multi-Platform Management
  6. Support email campaigns via Mailchimp/Mailjet and podcast content uploads on Buzzsprout.
  7. Update Linktree profiles, Eventbrite listings, and brand pages on Apple Podcasts/Spotify.
  8. Engagement & Analytics
  9. Monitor comments, DMs, and trends to engage our community.
  10. Track performance metrics and suggest data-driven optimizations.
  11. Campaign Support
  12. Collaborate on campaigns for events like #DettyDecember (Ghana) or seasonal promotions.
  13. Assist in creating Instagram Story sets, TikTok concepts, and email newsletters.

 

Qualifications

  • Current student/recent graduate in any field.
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and social analytics.
  • Strong visual design sense and ability to adapt to brand aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and a knack for trending content.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with podcast hosting (Buzzsprout), Eventbrite, or Linktree.
  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut/Adobe Premiere (or basic video editing tools).
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools (Mailchimp/Mailjet) and scheduling platforms.
  • Interest in African travel destinations and culture.
  • Basic SEO or copywriting skills.
  • Familiarity with UGC-style content creation.
