Payments towards your trip can be paid in full or using our instalment plan. It is important that if you choose to pay by instalment plan, you make payments on time, in order for us to book all the necessary facilities, hotels, transportation, activities and other on your behalf. Note that prices are based on double occupancy rates- which means you will be paired with another traveler. We do our best to ensure that this is a traveler of your choice, however in some cases we will have to provide random pairing. Frequently Asked Questions
Travelers from many countries do not need a visa to visit Senegal for up to 90 days. Currently, citizens of the USA and UK, among many others, do not need a visa to travel to Senegal, provided they have a passport of usually six months' validity and an onward or return ticket (with supporting documents)
Senegal is generally considered safe for travelers. However, as with any foreign country, it is important to be aware of pickpocketing and petty theft, especially in crowded tourist areas. It is also advisable to take precautions when using ATMs or carrying valuables and to avoid walking alone in unfamiliar areas at night.
Option: Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) (https://step.state.gov/step/) to receive alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
The currency in Senegal is the CFA Franc. Credit cards are not widely accepted, so it's advisable to carry cash. You are encouraged to bring dollars and change your currency with a local forex bureau. ATMs are available in major cities but may not always be reliable. The local "Bureau de Changers" will assist you with changing your currencies to the local currencies.

Some vaccines are recommended or required for Senegal. The CDC and WHO recommend the following vaccinations for Senegal: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia, and influenza.
The COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for travel to all regions, both foreign and domestic. Check with your local Passport Health clinic if immunization is offered in your area. Senegal has many popular tourist destinations, each with its own weather patterns. Dakar, the capital city, is hot and semi-arid, with temperatures around 25 to 36 °C all year round. The rainy season is from July to October and it can be very humid with occasional thunderstorms.
Senegal is hot and humid, with distinct rainy and dry seasons. If you are planning a trip, it is best to wear light and breathable clothing and be prepared for occasional rainfall.
- A money belt: Due to the amount of pick-pocketing that occurs, a money belt will allow you to keep your money and passport safe.
- Bug spray: The climate in Senegal is hot and humid, meaning there are plenty of bugs, including mosquitoes.
- An inhaler (if you have respiratory problems): Due to all the sand in the area, some individuals may notice their respiratory issues becoming more severe.
- Walking shoes or sandals—there are lots of places to explore and a good pair of shoes will keep your feet from hurting at the end of the day.
All travelers are recommended to take out personal/medical travel insurance ahead of the trip. If you’re planning on getting your adrenaline fix during your trip, make sure your travel insurance covers you for extreme sports activities!
