You will explore powerful historic landmarks including Cape Coast and Elmina, walk through sites that shaped the transatlantic story, and participate in a traditional Naming Ceremony that offers a personal cultural connection. In Accra, experience the city at sunset, explore Jamestown, engage in drumming and dance, and discover local craftsmanship.

The journey continues with hands-on cultural experiences through batik making and a traditional Ghanaian cooking class, followed by time to relax and celebrate together during Tashah’s birthday dinner and after-party. A scenic escape to Aburi and Asenema Waterfalls adds a refreshing natural contrast to the historical depth of the trip.

Daily Activities

Day 1 : February 19th
Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Arrival at Kotoka International Airport, where you will be met and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax, refresh, and settle into your surroundings. In the evening, we gather for a curated welcome dinner an opportunity to connect with fellow travelers, enjoy great food, and receive a brief overview of the days ahead. It’s a warm introduction to the journey, setting the tone for the experience to come
Day 2 : February 20th
Accra City Experience
Experience Accra as the sun begins to set, starting at Black Star Square, a powerful symbol of Ghana’s independence and national pride. Continue to Asomdwe Park, the final resting place of a former president, before exploring the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum to learn about Ghana’s first president and the country’s liberation story. The journey then takes you to Jamestown for a guided walking tour through one of Accra’s oldest districts, rich in colonial architecture and local culture. The evening concludes at the Accra Arts Centre, where guests will enjoy traditional drumming and dancing, with time to shop for authentic Ghanaian crafts and souvenirs.
Day 3 : February 21st
Journey to Cape Coast: The Road to Our Ancestors - Day 1
Begin the journey with a scenic drive to Cape Coast for a powerful exploration of Ghana’s ancestral history. Visit Elmina Castle, one of the oldest European structures in Sub-Saharan Africa, and walk through its historic dungeons while learning about the transatlantic slave trade. Continue to Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park, a significant site where captured Africans took their last bath before being transported across the Atlantic. Lunch will be served at Coconut Grove Beach Resort Restaurant in a relaxed coastal setting. Our day concludes after lunch with check-in at your hotel in Cape Coast for the night, allowing time to rest and reflect on the experience.
Day 4 : February 22nd
The Road to Our Ancestors - Day 2
The second day begins with a meaningful traditional Naming Ceremony, offering a personal and cultural connection to heritage and identity. This intimate experience provides insight into Ghanaian customs, symbolism, and community traditions. Afterward, visit Kakum National Park for an adventurous walk along the famous canopy walkway, suspended high above the rainforest floor and offering breathtaking views of the lush landscape. Following the experience, we begin our drive back to Accra, where the day concludes upon arrival.
Day 5 : February 23rd
Free day & Birthday Dinner
Enjoy leisure time during the day to rest, recharge, or explore Accra at your own pace. Whether you choose to relax at the hotel, visit local cafés, or discover nearby attractions, the day is yours to enjoy. In the evening, we gather to celebrate Tashah’s Birthday with a special dinner, followed by an after-party to close the night in style.
Day 6 : February 24th
Batik Making & Traditional Cooking Class
Combining a batik-making session with a traditional cooking class offers one of the most immersive ways to connect with Ghanaian culture. Guided by local artisans, you will learn the wax-resist dyeing technique used to create vibrant batik fabrics, gaining hands-on experience in designing and crafting your own piece. The experience continues in the kitchen, where you will prepare authentic Ghanaian dishes using fresh, local ingredients while learning about the cultural significance behind each meal. It’s a creative and flavorful journey that blends art, tradition, and community.
Day 7 : February 25th
Chasing Waterfalls Experience & Farewell Dinner
Begin the day with a scenic drive to the hills of Aburi for a visit to the serene Aburi Botanical Gardens, known for its lush landscapes and historic trees. Continue to Asenema Waterfalls for a refreshing nature experience surrounded by forest views. Lunch will be enjoyed in the cool highlands of Peduase, offering a relaxed setting with panoramic scenery. Afterward, explore the vibrant Aburi Craft Village for local handmade crafts and souvenirs. The day concludes with a special evening farewell dinner, bringing the journey together with shared reflections and celebration.
Day 8 : February 26th
Goodbye & Departures
Today marks the conclusion of your unforgettable journey through Ghana. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Kotoka International Airport to complete your departure formalities and begin your onward travels.
