Cultural Immersion & Afrochella

Get ready to learn and experience Ghanaian culture. This experience takes you through learning your Ghanaian names, learning how to prepare some Ghanaian foods whilst enjoying a selection of authentic Ghanaian meals. After, be prepared to learn key symbols of Ghanaian culture (Adinkra symbols) to use it to create your own unique fabric.

But that is not the end! Imagine a massive open-air event with thousands of people from all over the world coming together to enjoy amazing live music performances from talented African artists, dance to Afrobeat rhythms, indulge in mouth-watering local cuisine, and soak up the energetic atmosphere of a truly unique celebration – this is Afrochella.

Free Day & NYE Club Night

It is a free day! Unwind and head out to explore Accra as you prefer. The day is a blank canvas and it is up to you to lay out what you want to do. Afterwards, let’s end our night with a countdown and reserved tables at one of Accra’s top clubs ( to be selected closer to the date) where we close the curtains on the old year and open that of the new with a bang.

Day 6 : 1st January
Day Trip to kumasi (tours and naming ceremony)

Akwaaba to a thrilling day in the legendary Ashanti Region, where gold, cocoa, and kente reign supreme! Embark on a royal adventure as you dive into the vibrant culture of Kumasi, starting with an exhilarating Kente Weaving & Ghanaian Naming Ceremony. Unravel the intricate patterns and dazzling colors of this prestigious fabric, as you embrace your new Ghanaian identity in the heart of the Ashanti culture.

Feeling peckish? It's time to satisfy your cravings with a mouthwatering fufu lunch experience! Witness the artful fufu-making process before savoring this scrumptious local delicacy in the company of a warm and hospitable family.

Later, we will journey back in time at the mesmerizing Prempeh Museum. Within the walls of a stunning 19th-century Asante regalia house, uncover the fascinating stories of the powerful Ashanti Kingdom. Prepare to be captivated by the region's rich history and remarkable culture.

There is an overnight stay at for the Kumasi and Mt Gemi Hike Experience

Ghana has a tropical climate, with temperatures ranging from 20-30°C (68-86°F) throughout the year. The rainy season is from April to October, while the dry season is from November to March. It is recommended to pack lightweight, breathable clothing, as well as rain gear for the rainy season. Good walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and Mosquito repellant are also recommended.

In December, Ghana has an active party season, so bring your best clothes for the road! Yes, dress to impress.

A COVID19 vaccination certificate is required to enter Ghana, non-resident without a COVID19 vaccination are not allowed to enter. You must have been double vaccinated. Similarly you are required to have a yellow fever vaccination card to enter.

Bringing along $300 dollars, cash on hand, is a good place to start. Before you leave for Ghana, notify your bank of your travel plans, so they don’t cut you off for fear of fraud. Research the fees you may need to pay for using your credit card to make payments, as they can mount up.
